Schedule for distribution of Smart National Identity Cards and instructions for receiving them

Respected residents of the area, Assalamu Alaikum.

This is to inform everyone that the distribution of Smart National Identity Cards (NID) for Ward numbers 01 to 09 will begin from 14/07/2023 for those who became voters between 2007 and 2018. All citizens who have received their Smart NID are requested to be present at the Union Parishad on the mentioned date to collect their National Identity Card (Smart NID).

Note: Those who became voters before 2014 must provide fingerprints of both hands and iris images of both eyes. Therefore, one person cannot collect the Smart National Identity Card on behalf of another person.

Instructions for receiving the Smart National Identity Card:

  1. Since fingerprints of both hands and iris images of both eyes are required for each voter, one person cannot collect the Smart National Identity Card on behalf of another person. The original National Identity Card (NID) issued by the Bangladesh Election Commission must be brought.
  2. You must be present at the distribution center according to the specified date and schedule. However, those who cannot be present or are residing abroad can collect their Smart National Identity Cards from the Sitakunda Upazila Election Office at a later time.
  3. In case of a lost laminated National Identity Card, a lost card fee of 345/- must be paid through a bank challan. A copy of the challan must be submitted along with the application. Please check the name of the bank and branch from the Sitakunda Upazila Election Office.
